Where are you finding iris this time of year? Lovely shot. Lighting is just right. It doesn't draw attention to itself, but still manages to give shape and form to the bloom and water drops.

Very intriguing close up! I like the depth of field used, and the slightly off balance composition draws my attention more to the little drip.

Nice use of snow to 'frame' your water. Colors are clear and saturated. You managed to retain detail in the snow, too.

Goldfish

When my friend was a kid, he had a goldfish as a pet. He would take it out if it's tank and 'pet' it every night. Every day, the fish would be dead when he went off to school, and his mom would replace it with a goldfish from the store! This went on for several weeks. It has nothing to do with your image, though, except that it concerns a goldfish! Your shot?" I like the clarity of the water here, and your fish is nicely in focus. I think having the rocks in focus, too, was a good idea. Have you experimented with this fish being off center or on a 'third?'

Perhaps just a tad too dark, but I'm inclined to go darker to get these marvelous colors and tones. Nice composition.

Comment:
Interestingly, the focus is not on the water, but on the lights and trees and windows. However, since water takes up so much of the image, it feels wet. In any event, you capture a nice balance here, and it definitely meets the challenge--but through a back door.

Composition is strong and abstract. I like it and its mood. I do wish more were in focus, though.
