Dreamby AleciaComment: I cannot believe work like this can go so un-noticed by so many voters. I understand art is subjective, but it seems so many of the voters only see the technical aspects in photography. This is a modern style with the exposure so exaggerated it is clearly intentional. I really hoped this one would do better in the challenge. Message edited by author 2004-06-28 02:26:03. |

Making A Pointby e301Comment: I love the richness of this. The bold blue brings a modern feel to the old style architecture. You've got a good eye to be able to see these elements as a pleasing photograph with the intention of desaturating like this. Bravo!!! 10 |

Being thereby jjbeguinComment: This is a great example of desaturation so I give you high marks for meeting the challenge. I like the overall picture here and if I knew this guy I would hang this on my wall. I think when selecting a photograph to apply the desaturation technique, I would find an area of the picture to enhance the main subject rather than to have the only color in the shot drawing my attention away from the main subject. (just my preference) but nice work all the same. |

Loungin' Aroundby jmleliiComment: Excellent Entry! This is fun for the eye to browse around all the action. Clean, clear detail and the umbrellas bring flavor to the scene. My only thought on how I might improve on this would be to take a look at how bright the shirt is on the guy at the bottom right. I might try to tone his shirt down to blend with the rest of the people. I like this. 9 |

three leftby ursulaComment: So clear, clean and simple. The detail is amazing, the soft background works so well on this. The color tone is rich and the subject is perfectly placed. A 10 from me. |

In the Pondby tyt2000Comment: What a beautiful shot! The reflection off the water is so perfect, with just a bit of movement from the center bird. Nice bright whites and rich tones. 10 |

Przewalskis Horseby jackditchComment: A perfect choice for the three challenge. Just a little blown out in the white areas (on the nose) I think it would have been ok if the contrast and brightness were pulled back just a little. I love the picture, the crop is perfect and I like the weeds going off into the distance. Nice work! 9 |

Three Shacksby artvetComment: Charming country character. This is just so perfect for a three challenge. Great color. I like the sky showing low on the horizon, it gives a very remote feel to the picture. Beautiful work, a solid 10 from me. |

Simply Nutsby HavokComment: I only see 1-1/2 :) (just my attempt at humor)
This is one of my favorites. Nice rich black and all the detail clear and clean. The one on the right I want to just push it over a bit away from the crop and lighten up the shade on the right side to match the rest of the drop out white background. Those would be my only suggestions to make this a 10 Very nice work! 9 |
