Thinking About Summer

Thinking About Summer

This reminds me of the animated movie "The Point" from 1971.
It was about a boy named Oblio and his dog Arrow.
One of the characters was "The Rock Man"

This is the perfect rendition of The Rock Man.

The color is good and not over-saturated. The detail is sharp and the snow is not blown-out in the highlights. Over-all an excellent entry for this challenge and a great find. 9

This is hilarious. Excellent in every way! The color is natural and the lighting softly fades into black as if it were a fine art nude. The angle is perfect and the title is a good fit. A 10 from me.

This is so simple and yet it's full of life. I don't know how you can capture so much emotion in such a small area. The way you use this technique is like poetry to me. It's almost as if the flower is pulling life from the darkness. The title is such a perfect fit for this one.

Awesome work!!!
This is one of my top three highest rated shots for this challenge. This is the type of image I truly wish I had the ability to see in the subjects I shoot. I just can't make a small item like this tell a story. You've pulled it off with flying colors. The title is a nice compliment and fits the subject well, but this capture stands strong on it's own and meets the challenge better than most. Your depth of field is perfect in my opinion. Its almost as if you are focusing on the dark area on the other side of the door and really does a great job of pointing the viewer to see what is beyond the door. Excellent in every way!!! 10

yeeeesh..... Seems to have missed the entrance. It's a clean/clear entry with good color and lighting...... but. It's not the type of picture that will have mass appeal to the voters or make them want to hang this one on their wall. Good Luck, 6 from me.

This is one of the best applications Iâve seen for the âpushedâ HDR/dragonized looking processing. In general Iâm not a big fan of the look. Mostly because the photos Iâve seen it used on would have looked better or more natural, without it. I have seen this techniques done well here on DPC where the HDR adjustments were barely detectable and not pushed to the cartoon stage on landscapes and such. I have seen the dragon filter used only a few times where I have actually liked the effect. You have managed to successfully pair the âpushedâ HDR/dragon filter look (for lack of a better word) up with an animated expression. Top-notch work in every way and to date this is my favorite âanimated lookingâ processing here at DPC. High marks from me. Good luck in the challenge
