Very Closeby h2Comment: I am not sure why but I really like this shot. So many lovely little touches, the great black and white conversion, a border that enhances the image and the shot itself. Minimal but not sparse. Very good composition |

to the boatby skewsmeComment: Wonderful picture of serenity. It meets the challenge very well and the soft range of blues and purples (especially in the reflection) are simply magnificent. 8 |

Giant Leopard Mothby WalesPComment: I am starting to worry about where you live Ron. Bug eating lizards one week and then this critter the next
Very impressive macro, great dof and the whites are positively glowing without being blown out. Super counterpoint with the elctric blue markings. Congrats on your second consequtive 6+ score (breakfast of champions still counts in my books) and on getting another shot on your front page |

Breakfast of Championsby WalesPComment: Oh my word, I have only just spotted this DQ. I am so so sorry Ron. It seems very harsh but I guess rules are rules. DQ or not I have to say this remains a stunning shot and one of which you should be rightly proud |

Gerbil Tube of Lifeby bassboneComment: Peter
Congrats on yet another top 20 finish. I just love the repetitive pattern and the fact that it seems both wide open and claustraphobic at the same time
Impressive if you suffer from vertigo (I was going to add 'and wind' but that would have sounded quite wrong!!!!)
Very nice gentle B&W conversion that still has heaps of contrast where the shadow hits the light
Great job buddy |

Reach Out and Touch Someoneby colorcarnivalComment: Yaay!!!!! You got your mojo back and then some!!!! Meets the challenge brilliantly allthough for me I dont know whether your son is reaching out and touching someone or giving them the old Nelson Muntz 'Ha! Ha!'
Fantastic DOF on there and (another) of your outstanding B&W conversion |

wolf spider - face to faceby rozComment: woah...Two hot macros on the bounce. Maybe this does not have the instant aestetic appeal of the dragonfly but it is still an outrageously good shot. You gotta love those 'eyes' |

nature's brillianceby rozComment: Roz, many congrats on the high finish. This is a wonderful shot. I love the fact that it is away from your 'normal' style. So delicate and such vibrant colours. Great bokeh and a super leading line |
