Fantastic yellow and blues in the sky and the white space in the top left actually means that rather than potential feeling oppressive this just seems to convey a great tranquility

Could have been boring but imo the fact that this photo says something about your life means it certainly isnt

and I was very happy to see that I am not the only person who has layers of dust in certain rooms

Cool composition of the items on the work top mean you actually create very nice triangular diagonal leadings lines in a super subtle way

The idea of having your own studio at some time is very cool

Congrats on you for taking the shot (I am rubbish at doing that, and I always assume my self consiousness is an indicator that I am not really a proper photographer)

My own thought is that its a good enough candid that Brian would probably be thrilled to have a copy and if when you gave it to him you explained that you wanted to take the photograph because he is so much of your home town community then rather than feeling upset about the incident he would feel happy and honoured to be recognised as such. He's probably never ever let you go past him again without trying to start a conversation but its gotta be worth it

OK at the risk of you hating me I have to be honest and say that I am not a huge fan of beagles (I guess it may be the assoication with fox hunting), but you have produced some wonderful shots of them that could have me changing my mind in the B&W challenge was just amazing and surreal, and I have to say this is also one of those shots that could get me to be a beagle fan. Fantastic expression (you can tell that dog is happy to be going home with his 'mum') and framing and super colours (which work well with the blown out white). Gotta love that tongue too

Fantastic

Great story and a lovely capture of a great moment in your day.

Certainly I would not worry about the fact that you took a photo while driving as a woman taking photographs while behind the wheel of a car is only marginally more dangerous than a woman behind the wheel of car car anyway, and at 2mph that is also about right for your gender

You say it is not as sharp as you would have liked it but I have to be honest and say that I think that I prefer the moody feel that you have created

It kinda feels quite harsh and disconnected and certainlly as if you are seeing something that maybe you want to hurry on by

I am glad that Barney is enjoying a renewed burst of life (which was exactly what you said you wanted to achieve when you took him for the treatment)

He certainly looks fantastically alert and perky in this shot

Great framing of the subject, the marginal off centre works very well given the square crop

Great expression that you have captured as well

I do like the motion blur but I have to say the thing that makes it for me is the varied and strong use of red in the frame with regards the cyclists top, the bikes frame, the curb the walls of the tyres and the rear reflector. The net effect is that your eyes leap about to each red point and that enhances the idea of movement

Glad you chose what you did...the alighnment of the water drops on the middle of the centre leaf is great and the background to the leaves is surreal, it almost looks like a super enlarges fingerprint

Nice
