It was raining before I went to lunch and I decided to take a day off from running. By the time I got my lunch it was warm and sunny out. Go figure.

So I went to the park that I used to run at before they started a construction project that remains incomplete after a year+. I think they stopped working. So I walked around and enjoyed the warm sun and smell of the earth. Not many picture to choose from and it was either this, ducks, or a really boring flower.

The rain droplets are amazing! I think if the whole leaf was in focus it would stand out even more, but I really like what you've done here!

I actually like the background of this best. The wetness shows off the striped texture nicely.

Glad you chose what you did...the alighnment of the water drops on the middle of the centre leaf is great and the background to the leaves is surreal, it almost looks like a super enlarges fingerprint

Nice

Ok this is a little weird lol. We must be thinking on the same wavelength lol. Maybe we got the rain that you guys got first. I like this pic because you have a nice pattern going with the three leaves. See yours looks like some thought went into it. Mine was just whatever the camera would focus on lol.

It's a great macro - love the DOF. What's that underneath?

The nice shallow DOF makes this really interesting to me, makes me think about the true dimensions of the objects in the image. What I mean is, my brain expects the leaves at the bottom of the image to be at the same focal plane as the wood in the bottom of the image (good 2D brain), and yet they are not; the water droplets high up on the central leaf are at the same focal plane as the wood at the bottom, which is just not what my brain expects... :-) I love how this made me think about the reality of the scene!

Water drops always work well, and we haven't seen too many of them recently. They make a nice change from flowers.
