Lost in Timeby CharleneComment: What could I say that has not been said about this image? (I have enjoyed reading the wide range of during- voting comments)
Firstly, to point out that it had the ability to move the viewer's neurones and hormones :-) in all sort of directions around and about what the motion-blurred couple represents and what their mood is.
Secondly, that you, the pg, had the ability to pick that one frame you knew it was the right frame to capture in order to inspire what you thought and saw.
Congratulations for both things!! |

the answer is in the photographer's comments:
"The cairn has been placed to ‘guide’ trekkers and is actually smaller than it appears – the top of it reaches one’s head." |

Between Heaven and Earth by DudskiComment: Huge congrats on achieving this fantastic result, a blue ribbon with a 7.6+ score in a 1000+ entries challenge !!!
I am SO GLAD you won it with a shot taken in my country. Some people was expecting to have an Icelandic landscape in the front page, and you put Peru on it!!! :-)
Let me add a little publicity to my country and say that not only Johana's ( tanguera)image was taken in Peru, but also
Dave's ( davemce)image
and of course mine .
The last two were taken in the same valley (Sacred Valley of Urubamba), and amazingly enough, even when dates are approx 17 months apart, you can identify very similar color palettes, and even the donkeys seem to be the same :-). Message edited by author 2009-03-18 20:54:50. |
