Stop and Smell the Flowersby Marc923Comment: Nice composition, I like the arrangement of the butterfly, plant, and the shallow DOF to blur the background. Maybe a little deeper DOF would be better, to get the whole butterfly in focus, but that's really a judgement call. It works either way. |

Ladybug offfffby SimpaComment: Very funny! Maybe the lighting could be better, but still, very funny. |

Peek-A-Booby Monique64Comment: Very cute! Would work better if you were closer to the flower, but you know that already. Minimal editing....sigh... |

Thorny Resting Placeby littletreeComment: I love the idea, and the cactus is very cool. But it's too hard to identify the bug. Also, it might have looked more 'natural' if the cactus was sitting on some dirt instead of a wood floor (or table). |

Pit stopby RUEDISCHMUTZComment: Composition and framing are good, but it looks like this was taken at high noon on a sunny day. There's a lot of contrast, and to properly expose the white flowers, the bug and leaves are too dark. If you had a bug available at the right time, an early morning or late afternoon shot (or one taken in the shade or cloudy day) would have worked better, because the light would be softer and easier to work with. |

Moonlit Nightby rezaira2002Comment: I like the nice shape and detail on the tree silhouette. It's hard to take night shots with the moon, because the moon is actually very bright, and by the time the rest of the scene is properly lit, the moon will be totally blown out, which seems to be what has happened here. The moon has just turned into a white blob. |
