Under the Treeby SaraRComment: Hi Sara, you should put this in DPC Prints. For one, I'd buy it! Think about it. |

Pine Grosbeakby stargazer05766Comment: Birds are your cream of the crop, Jane. This is a beauty, as are most of them that you submit.
Good capture again. Love the detail that is so evident on the feathers.
And the pops of rust color work beautifully both on the bird and on the branches in the distance. |

Mourning Doveby MaryOComment: Marion, see below, is absolutely dead-on. It is very reminiscent of the Dutch masters. The light is fantastic and the low key is perfect for this shot.
Favorite!

Cardinal in Winterby MaryOComment: Beautiful capture, Mary.
Perhaps you are fixated on birds because (just like here) they are the only thing out right now.
Usually we have a lot of deer in our yard, but they have been absent of late. Perhaps it is that huge tree that is downed that is blocking my view!
Boy, that beautiful coat of red pops big time in the winter scene. Beautiful. |

_Jubilee-Lake-duck-2.jpgby jomariComment: Nice shot, Marion. I love the little hat (apparently I have a fanciful imagination today) perched on her head. |

Wish We Were All Hereby MelonMusketeerComment: I agree with jomari it does look very inviting but for an opposite reason than she had ... we are about 20 degrees here with a fresh fall of snow followed by sleet followed by rain and increasing temps.
BEEEEEAutiful coloring here to show off a very inviting scene. Glad you too are hitting the archives, Waddy. |

My backyardby GiorgioBaruffiComment: And just to show that you get all kinds of differing opinions here at DPC, I really really like the yellow lighting. I've seen that yellow on the prettiest of dawns.
PS: Nice backyard. Message edited by author 2009-01-28 10:17:48. |

It's Winter Timeby GiorgioBaruffiComment: Hi Giorgio, I adore this shot. It makes me remember why I love winter the most of all the seasons.
BEAUTIFUL and happy too.
Those tire tracks make a fantastic and unique leading line right to the woman. |
