Comment:
the minuscule figures symbolize the pettiness of human life in contrast with their angelic aspirations. the sense of distance and contrast created by the interesting perspective is very well done. b/w is a good choice for the somberly ambiance. large expanse of the cloudy sky adds to the overall mood.

it certainly deserves a ribbon. but what i don't get is who's won it. it was your wife's idea and she pressed the button too.

Beautiful combination of yellow and blue spoiled by the visible edge of the bowl in an otherwise attractive composition.

Wonderful effect to make it look so close and lively. Great details and colours (or lack of it).

Now, that is prickly.

The shallow DoF works particularly well here because of the almost fully greenish background and foreground. The colourful monster is perfectly in focus.

The fluttering birds near the bottom and the flying ones near the top of the frame are the real interest in the photo; but unfortunately both seem cropped rather casually. The big tree right in the middle also seems a bit ungainly. Rule of one-third would have worked well here for the sky and the ground.

I can sense it's a beautiful peaceful setting and would love to be there.

A bit out of focus and over-exposed. The background distracts too. Otherwise, nice story to capture.
