A riot of colours.. . Funky movements that bring to mind a jammin atmosphere. Electric blue and electric guitars - certainly 'off center' for the main DPC style and makes me feel more is happening to the viewer's left. Might have moved to keep the three lights/reflections at the top away from the subject.

Critique club:

Initial reactions: Your final score is far too low for such an interesting shot.

Your entered picture is too small - - it takes up less than 1/10th of my total screen - you might do better in future if you try to use the full 640px size that you are allowed.

Nice colours, and interesting shapes, with perhaps the distortion in the upper right being a bit out of place. I like the fairly agressive composition with the yellow dot in the corner and the red exploding around it. The purple/ pink complements the other colours well too. I think the fact that it is blurry actually helps too to make it even more abstract. Finally something different, but these types of shots often do not go down well with the general voting populace.

Also as a general point, while abstracts are a great form of photography, they are going to suffer in a challenge were a clearly defined subject is mentioned - this might have fared better in some of the colour challenges

CC: Not sure I really see the liquid in this shot, but that aside. The flag could be a good subject. I think to enhance this you need to pay a bit more attention to the background, which is cluttered and a similar colour to the flag.

As a result the foreground subject merges with the background jumble and makes for a less than clear overall impression/ message. You've accentuated this by having the lighter/ whiter part of the flag against the rather blown out sky, again merging and losing the foreground focus.

Hope this is useful.

I could see this on the cover, but only if his eyes were in sharper focus than the foreground

Nice coneflower, the the center seems a lot redder than is natural - maybe its just late in the cycle.
