Life...don't look backby vtruanComment: Almost feels like something from a 60's film still, because of the grain/ texture in the background and soft focus on the subject. |

The Creation of My New Lifeby angela_packardComment: Overall feels a soft/ blurry, but somehow ends up looking a bit oversharpened with it (e.g., the left arm)
A good idea and the lighting seems good. Lacking any real highlight values, leaves it feeling grey though. |

Mazel Tovby gg3rdComment: Nice, tight portrait. Good light in the eyes. I'm guessing this is from a fairly low resolution camera or a tight crop, because it is suffering from a lot of artifacts. |

Memories Live Foreverby ltlmschrisssComment: good lighting, though maybe a touch harsh, which has left a lot of the shot in the mid grey range (background etc) Seems to need a more overall high key feel and perhaps more diffuse light ? |

The Little Joys in Life...by TristeLeucosiaComment: great group. I'd be tempted to also try closer in and lower down if you were willing to get a bit wet - put their silhouettes up in the sky and catch more of the reflection |

Celebrating Life's Simple Pleasuresby jasonlpriceComment: The really black background makes this feel like it is shot in a studio or somewhere else removed from a 'homely' location. Letting some more ambient light in the background might help to create more of a warm 'pool of light' feel. |

Wake up.by manukarunComment: The window/ sun light is really harsh, somewhere a bit more shaded would have given maybe a better balance to the lighting. Also taking a bit more care with the composition could have kept that background entirely seamless and cleaned up the top right/left corners. Maybe even getting a bit closer in to capture just the face/ arms would further simplify the shot. |

The Interval Betweenby raishComment: interesting take on the theme. DoF isn't quite working though, with the very OOF gravestones. |
