Xion's Proseby jdannelsComment: Very ominous and forbidding.......it almost looks malevolent like it's going to attack the bird. I like this work you're doing with the B&W. |

Morgan Stanley Buildingby jdannelsComment: Cool building! Has kind of a surreal, almost kit-like form to it like a youngster's Lego set or the like. I like the starkness of the B&W conversion..... |

thecanyon4me by Brent_WardComment: Originally posted by anusaha: This is not original at all. I thought the image looked familiar...I used to have this as a background back in high school. A quick image search confirmed this is an over-photographed site. Originality aside, I can't say I'm impressed by the technical quality either.

After reviewing this Google offering, reviewing your profile, and seeing this image, it's painfully obvious that it may be best if you reserve your comments, look and learn from Brent and the others here that actually participate, recognize, and appreciate a truly spectacular photograph. That Critique Club thing that seems to like them? They also seem to share the opinion that this is a nice shot.
Oh......and perhaps all those voters that helped give it a blue ribbon.....they seemed to be of a consensus that it's a pretty okay shot, too.
Also if you've never been to Canyonlands National Park, you have no appreciation for how difficult it is to translate this kind of grandeur to a mere photographic image.
Brent, truly nice work......I'm glad I stumbled onto this! A fav for sure! Message edited by author 2007-02-08 05:21:17. |
