Leading Lanesby GeneralEComment: Composition is pretty good. Tones are flat for me and the lines do not take me anywhere particular - they just go everywhere. |

Walk This Wayby greenem2Comment: Good image. Composition is good and the toanl range is good - maybe a little darker in the center foliage. The line takes me into a mysterious place. Good job. (By the way, where is this? Any chance it is at the Heard Museum in Texas? There is a path like this and I saw someone there on Sunday who was taking many shots about Lines.) |

Isisby lisaeComment: The highlight in the eye is the focal point for me. I closed my eyes and opened them on different areas of the picture - the lines always got me to the sparkle. Well done. Lighting fits and the soft focus is right for this subject. 9 |

Corn!!!by nathaliedooComment: The composition is cluttered. The exposure and processing does not enhance the image. The lines are just there, they do not help bring sense to the image. |

Meandering Bluesby jerrftComment: I like the bend in the river balanced with the tree in the middle and on the slope. But I kept following the lines and did not reach a conclusion. Still very nice. |

Waves in Flag by DennisFComment: Thanks for all the wonderful comments and the very good and on target critiques.
For those who suggested flipping the picture to have the blue in the upper left - I tried this and it is a much better photograph! I'll look at things from all angles next time.
Another repeat input was the "not white stars". The reason they are dark is that the flag is strongly backlighted. The red and white stripes and blue field are translucent material and that gives the great lighting. The stars are doubled so that they show white from both sides and I think they are a different material - so when backlighted, they show up as a shadow and dark. Spot editing might have been a good choice here, but ... I'll try something to see if I can improve this.
Again, thanks for the inputs on this photograph and the the prior ones - the inputs really help.

Brokenby MalokataComment: I like the composition. Snow is so hard, but I would have liked more detail in the dark figure. |
