Peterborough Cathedralby SoulMan1978Comment: Pretty cathedral, nice light. However, this shot would've worked much better if it was perfectly symmetrical - as far as I can tell, it needs to be rotated CCW. |

Stairway to Heaven?by KonadorComment: Nice pp. The angle works extremely well, all the pointy bits of the church seem to be hinting at the potential of going heavenwards.
I'm not normally a fan of obvious dodging and burning, but I have to say, it does seem to work here - makes the shot look very dramatic. |

boondock sallyby lazyb_daslackerComment: Boondock? Interesting concept, but not very well executed. The composition could do with improving, the lighting isn't great, the background is distracting, and I'm not convinced B&W actually works well for this shot. |

Buddhaby TechnoShroomComment: The background is so sharp and colourful that it seems to be jumping out towards me a lot more than Buddha when I look at this picture. There could be an interesting interpretation of that, but I'm not convinced it was intentionally done. |

The Prayerby IvoryComment: Very pretty portrait. I like the soft light and nice deep shadows. Her expression looks quite staged though. |

autelby molcoComment: Very pretty, lovely light, but doesn't seem quite sharp enough. |

Waiting for Sundayby kellyrc01Comment: Ok, so it's a nice enough shot of an empty church. Past that, I don't really get the concept, which makes it just another church shot (nice but unexceptional). The B&W does work well with the title, as it makes the place look sort of static and dormant. |

Hope in Your Darkest Hourby toddheadComment: Ok, I see the guy, and I'm struggling to make out what he's holding. It's a teddybear, right?
I think the concept is very good, but I would've prefered a slightly different angle and composition. Maybe taking a picture from higher up would have worked better (looking down on someone's darkest hour?), and I think there's a bit too much negative space at the bottom. The highlights on the bear seem a bit burnt out, I think that's why it's difficult to make out at first, but it's actually a nice touch :) |
