Life Savors the Beachby colorcarnivalComment: This is what I'm talking about! Incredible shot!
This is the kind of shot that I look for!
One that is creative, original, and fresh.
Spectacular colors and I love the DOF.
Under-appreciated for sure!
Congrats on the OOBIE! |

Lead us not into temptation. by OdedComment: sorta still life... no motion blur.
The background color brings out the spots on the larva.
The background has noise.
The highlight on the apple should be on either side, not straight ahead.
Good focus. |

Hip Hopping with the Hummelsby hahn23Comment: a cute collection and a perfect title.
The orange (dominated) colored figurine is on the orange side. the one with the most blue is on the blue side. I would have reversed them for contrast.
The plastic green toy contrasts on so many levels! Great Job! |

Sunday Brunchby levyj413Comment: The collection doesn't seem to go together.
You do have the 2 most important aspects of this challenge.
A still life and motion blur.
cutting boards should be paired with a knife.
The color cast makes me think vintage. something in an old cookbook. |

The Grape Escapeby GeneralEComment: You have a still life, and you also have the motion with blur. Both of those are the most important aspects of this challenge to me. However, a few attention to details could have really improved this shot.
Clean the plate of dust or clone the spots out. I don't mind the crack on the plate, gives it a rustic appeal. clone out the spot on the tomato and lime. and a better dof would help. the focus seems to be in the wrong spot. Its just barely nipping the lime. you have some good left side light going but it is a little flat. You want to see a highlight on the tomato. The red of the tomato is overpowering the image. Red is aggressive and doesn't need to take up that much space on the shot. a plum tomato or a grouping of cherry/grape tomatoes would have been enough. Some things to think about on your next go. |

Backroadby btrinhComment: This is a still life challenge. I'm not so sure this really fits the bill.
You have the motion part down. Would be great in a motion challenge.
Otherwise, not working for me in this challenge. |

Still Life Explosionby laserComment: Very nice, but chaotic in feel. You have broken the pattern in an asymetrical sort of way. This adds anxiety to the shot. That could be what your looking for here, but I think I would prefer the explosion in the center where the colors balance on either side. |

Wagging Tailby RosacalacaComment: This is a still life challenge with a side of motion. This would fit more in a motion challenge. Not what I am looking for in this challenge. |
