It's going to be hot down there !!by DeveComment: Was this shot staged or a candid capture? The model's foot closest to the skateboard disappears into the background. The road sign is relegated to bit player status because there's so much other interesting stuff to look at. Still, I like the image well enough. |

Last Chanceby pearlseyesComment: Heh, someone had a sense of humor.
The blown out areas of highlights detract from the image, but the overall concept of making it look like a portal into hell (?) is good. |

No stoppingby jrphotoComment: The good: you used a low angle, blurred the signs, and converted to B/W to end up with something other than a normal (boring) head-on shot of signs.
I think there's too much dark pavement in the foreground and would perhaps like it better cropped up to where the white x's begin. |

Road Closedby franktheyankComment: Was this taken at Son Silver West? A good collection of signs, and the B/W processing is effective. |

roses and signby KathycComment: The contrasty overhead light doesn't do this shot any favors. The shadow it casts on the curving road sign detracts from the sign itself without adding any particular visual interest. |

Twilight Zoneby namComment: The high-contrast, high-grain processing works well on this image, and the title helps pull it all together in a plausible story. |

Noirby odriewComment: While this meets the letter of the challenge topic, it's not really in the spirit of the challenge. A lovely moody image. But kind of a shoehorn for the challenge. |

a frendlyby herfotomanComment: This is very different from the usual DPC kinds of images, but I like it. I'd suggest eliminating the two dark splotches in the white field to the right of the trio of people. Other than that, though, this is a pretty interesting take on the subject. |
