Very pretty colors with a nice texture to it. Definately fits the challenge. Nice use of limited dof.
I think all it needs is just a slight more sharpening to bring the textures out even more. Overall it is a very pleasing image.

Letting go of all your troubles...by litboltiComment: Critique Club
Nice work but I think your choice of putting the sun in the center is making the photo boring. Try putting it in the bottom third of the photo and I think it will add a lot more interest to it.

portrait5.jpgby RefractedComment: The tones you have here are incredible and grab at your attention. However there is something slightly lacking overall. I think it is the cropping out of the shoulder that I find taking away from it or it could be a softness around the eyes. Overall it is very good just has room for some minor improvements. |

Living Textureby labudsComment: This has to be that beautiful snake that occassionally appears here. Nice as always. |

The freaks come out at nightby mikeysbistroComment: Critique Club
Very nice shot. Good detail and interesting composition. I really like this a lot and I do believe it mets the challenge well. I would really love to see these now with more lighting on them now that the challenge is over. I find maniquin shots very interesting and also a real chance to test equipment out.
Excellent photo. Hope to see more of them. |

What do I look like when I check the mail?by tolovemoonComment: Critique Club.
For starters this is overexposed to the point it is very harsh. As for meeting the challenge it does and does so with interest. Nice take on the challenge and an interesting composition. Just watchout for the overexposure. |

Good detail and exposure here. The snow grains are actually visable. The shadows here add a good bit of interest to the photo. I think what would have made this even stronger would have been getting rid of the bottom left and moving in closer to the corn stalks and get a longer shadow.
Nice work. |

Just for Laughsby SamaraComment: OH this is to funny. Don't really call that a road sign and yet everything about it says highway travel. It's really a neat sign and glad you captured it. Well worth an 8 just for the laugh. |
