Coming back to comment. I gave you a ten on this image because the colors, lines, lighting are phenomenal. I interpreted this challenge as you did, that all things are made up of bits and pieces. You choose an object that conveys that well and I hope you do well in this challenge.

Saw that you were looking for comments on this image so I thought I would let you know what I saw when I gave you a seven. I thought the technical aspects of this shot were excellant, lighting, depth of focus, saturation, etc. Looking at your score histogram, I see a lot more 3's, 4's, and 5's than I would have expected. I think this is because the leading line of the cue stick is so short. This didn't provide as much perspective as some folks were looking for. I myself followed the cue stick all the way down past the group of balls. However, if you had included more of the cue stick and increased the leading line effect, I could have given this a 9 very easily.

You choose a very difficult image to shot for this challenge, both for the lighting required and for post processing. I think the red section could have used a bit more contrast and could have be lightened just a bit to help the rose stand out more but I still had to give this a 7 for what you accomplished.

The texture of the shadow on the arm in comparison to the shirt does give a unique focal point to this image. The technicals are all there, good focus, compositon, and lighting. Glad to posted this one for us to look at.

The Blues Brother Within

This is a great portrait and I love the Blues Brothers but the face ends up being the focal point of the image for me and doesn't really convey the black and white theme of the challenge. I did under-rate this when I voted and I'm glad I came back to comment so I can give it a bump.
