In Daddy's Arms by timfythetooComment: Tim: An exceptional portrait that can convey many concepts, safety, security, comfort, thankfulness that no one was hurt. I'm about halfway through voting and am starting with a 7 vote for this one. I'll be taking another look at all of my 7's to find and bump my top choices. By what I've seen so far, you will be getting a bump later this week. Good luck.
Back to bump to a 9. This is by far one of the best of the studio shots in this challenge. Nice job. |

Bringing Safety to Seaby nessnajComment: Back to comment and bump: This image is technically strong and well captured. I'm bumping this from a 7 to a 10, as it is the strongest of the non-studio shots in the challenge. Well done and good luck. |

lock a shadow?by cutoutComment: Back to comment: This one totally confuses me on how it relates to safety. I like the image for its artistic value and your b& w conversion is very good. Hopefully you put some comments in the photographer's comments section explaining what you were trying to express, as I am very curious. This is a very good image but maybe not the best for this challenge. |

"Hey new kid, we ran out of SAFETY DUMMIES"by ksh_71Comment: Back to comment: A nice try at humor but the lighting / post processing of this image is not very good. The skin tones look like this was taken with light from a light bulb and the image is a little dark. This might have worked better with light from a window. |

As We Walk In Fields of Goldby JadeComment: Back to comment: I really am having problems seeing how this relates to safety. I love the shallow depth of focus and the lighting. My primary suggestion for improvement is to crop out the white blob on the right edge of the image. Hope you aren't getting totally killed by the DNMC police. |

For Your Safetyby Five_SeatComment: Solid exposure and post processing. A pretty decent composition for the angle you shot at. The subject matter is rather static and many voters will give it a 5 and move on. I'm going with a six to start with, as it is very hard to take a journalistic type shot for this kind of challenge (not set up) and you did a good job for what you found. |

Another Hot Hazy Morningby andrewtComment: Your overexposure adds to the composition of this image. Hope you don't get hammered by the DNMC crowd. 8 Back to bump 9. |
