..Surf....Shell....Sailboatby senor_kasperComment: I am not voting, so you can just ignore my comment. I think this is a great photo (toning is marvelous) and a complete miss of the bspurgeon style, as it doesn't leave a lot of room to the viewer own interpretation. This continues with the title, which tries to dictate even the order of looking at things.
Coming back after I noticed Ben's "wave..shell......gull"
I'm still leaving the comment above with the caveat that it (the comment) only reflects my own subjective interpretation of Ben's style, and to show how pigheaded I can be. Hope you can forgive me. |

The Boy in the Cellar.by rooumComment: excellent painting. just a thought regarding the title: i would let the viewers guess where this is happening. they might come up with their own ideas. (not voting) |

Path to Nothingby bwoComment: it is somewhat blown out, one may say, and yet you took care to leave the rider's shadow. I like your accuracy. (not voting). |

waitingby FourPointXComment: so which is it - the use of the window as filter? tilting the world to fit the person? the charcoal drawing quality? the backlighting? or that it reminds me of ubique's )?
anyhow, this is nonchalantly brilliant. (not voting) |

Men of a certain generationby ownedcaseyComment: Thanks for letting me go wild with this: I like your attitude with the framing and the low angle. The scene looks like it was extracted from 50's. I also think the kid caught you in action (did he?). (not voting) |

PAW2011-27by GuruinnComment: Great looking box, and the wide angle make it look even greater I suspect. I think it might be slightly better if it was all in focus, and the crop would allow more room at the top. |
