Corbett's Fallsby NeilComment: Very nice capture and pp. I like the deep contrast and excellent detail. Although the vignette is an excellent choice here I thinks it's a little too strong for me. |

Hole of Horcum - last lightby SaraRComment: Beautiful light Sara!
Although they catch the light beautifully, the foreground trees aren't adding much to this shot for me. As my eye moves through the scene it seems to always end at the foreground instead of deeper into the shot. Then again maybe I just have my "crazy hat" on. |

Jan-IMG_5629.jpgby heli_guyComment: One of my favorites of the month so far. A sublime balance of reflections and the rocks below the surface.
*Nit Pick Alert* The top of the peak appears a bit too bright. It could just be my monitor but it looks like the higlights could be reduced a bit. A little rotating could help as well. |

My backyardby GiorgioBaruffiComment: I think the lighting is interesting but compositionally I'm not sure what you were going for. What's the subject? |

Blue-Mountains.jpgby Covert_OddityComment: I have to agree with what has already been said. There is too much contrast. The sky is blown and the foreground shadows are a bit too deep. The composition is very nice. This scene, with this lighting is a prime candidate for HDR processing. |

Januaryby gysComment: Awesome! I would have liked to see a bit more contrast between the dune and sky but it's just awesome as is. |

DSCF4047.jpgby ikopanasComment: I've look at the alternate pp and they improve the technicals but the composition still has challenges for me. First, the leading curved line to the top of the hill is beautful. The way you composed it to bring the viewer from one corner of the image, all they way to the opposite edge and then back to the right/center is very nice. However, I find the power lines, poles and the sign really detract from the shot. I'm not saying that lines and poles are always distraction. For example if the lines were parallel to the road instead of bisecting the image it could have enhanced the sense of distance to the horizon but as is they seem to just cut the image in half Message edited by author 2009-02-28 22:10:35. |

Landscape-1-Month-#-1.jpgby IvoryComment: Gorgeous! Fantastic tonal range from the deep shadows, the dramatic sky, to the sparkles on the water. Very nice shot. |
