This is my favorite macro shot in this challenge (okay, I admit, I didn't look at all of them close-up--there were just too many), and one of my favorites ever. I like the steely look of the exoskeleton and the mirrored sharp, slicing look of the plant. Very intense with a lot of interest for the eye. Beautiful lighting and DOF. Best of luck!

Portraits are my least favorite subject matter...but this one is wonderful! The skin tones and lighting look so natural and untouched (not oversaturated,etc.) and the photo is so simple--yet not boring. Even better--it fits the challenge! One of my top picks. Good luck!
