sweet lil liesby hesitantComment: Pretty use of shape and color to fill the narrow frame. I voted it a 7, but I'm having a hard time explaining why I didn't vote it a 10. I think maybe it's a little low in contrast for my taste, and maybe it's that I get enough of a hint of texture that I want to see more. |

"Windows to the Soul"by beatabgComment: Good way to use the long shape of the photo. I could lose myself in her eyes, but something's not completely pulling me in. Maybe it's that I'm wondering why she has something over her nose (and presumably her mouth)? Maybe it's that it's not quite as tack-sharp as some other photos I've seen like this. Maybe it's the B&W, so her eye color doesn't draw me in. What do *you* think of it? |

Riversideby MAKComment: Bumping this up. I really like the different visual zones, the colors, and the shapes. The narrow photo shape makes it look like a story moving from civilization toward wilderness. |

The Line Upby sfaliceComment: Nice stack of ducks! I like how they almost continuously come more into the frame as my eye works its way down the line. |

Wind Powerby RobskiComment: Very pretty, good use of color and shape, nice contrast in the clouds. And, ultimately, a very good choice for the odd photo shape in this challenge. Bumping up the score. |

pearl jamby tangueraComment: Great tones and shapes. If only her arm had fit, too. But still, a good use of the narrow aspect ratio. |

the contented goldfinchby skewsmeComment: Very pretty use of color and shape in the background to mirror and support the subject. I think I'd like it better with the bird on the right looking into the frame. My eye tends to stop at the subject, leaving the empty space mostly wasted. If it were on the right, it would not only lead me to the bird, but also hint at the shapes and colors I'd find there. |
