Weepby BugzeyeComment: Great tree to capture. really works with b&w. Nice crop. 7, not quite high vote territory because of overall composition is not in the wow factor area |

Blue Steelby TlemetryComment: Very cool. Original and different. Hope your not getting killed from DNMC police. I think the sky works here. The only critique is that you're too close. i don't like the POV. |

Sunset treeby birkinComment: you got the colors, silhouette, and tree. Great. It's nice when these are the critical comments: if you were a foot to the right, the tree be centered in the rectangle and there just seems to a little too much space on the right side of the pic. 8 |

Battle scarsby VanGoghComment: this one doesn't work for me because of the lighting. too blown in the bottom corner and very flat. there's not enough happening with the composition. just bark and trees everywhere. 4 |

Poor Twisted Meby hopperComment: Like: colors of sky and grees. really like your subject 'tree'
Don't like: the processing for final product. I can see haloing around the tree. I don't think the darkening corners is necessary.
6 - but I think it has great much greater potential |

Hayfield treeby snafflesComment: my first impression was: over-sharpened. you can see along the horizon and edges of the leaves. the colors of the sky look more gloomy, than a neat ominous color. 5. |

Rootby GinaRothfelsComment: this is too much of stretch of the challenge. interesting composition and good exposure. 4 |

Since the dawn of time...by animalComment: Unfortunately, the first thing I see is the flare in the tree. The sun is overpowering to make a pleasing image. Yes the challenge is met but two big detracting things. 4. |

Mighty Oakby SunnieeComment: the darkness on the top left throws the balance of the sky off. for me that's the only detracting thing. nice comp, use of b&w. 6 |
