Without the title, it doesn't make too much sense. With the title, different story. I think the right call is to not have one at arm's length.

Photo's that evoke political thoughts/feelings are good, however, they can go the other way. They tend to split down the middle.

Good idea, but the execution suffers a bit. Focus does not appear sharp and the lighting is a bit weak. The color contrast of the key chain does not incorporate with the JW & backdrop. Framing is good, along w/placement of the objects.

The technical merits of photo are w/o question. Very strong in all regards. I think I would like to try to grap the yellow underneath the eye as the trim highlight border. Maybe you tried this and it was too much, so you made the right move.

If I stretch, I imagine the conflict is survival. That's a little too profoud for the knuckleheads voting. Still rates high in my book. Good luck.

I think this is a better picture without the lock. The wood has enough to stand on its own. I like the colors/shading.

I know it's a little late, but I still wanted to comment on this photo. I really enjoyed this one, but didn't get a chance to vote because I wanted to comment on it as well and ran out of time.

I think the shapes / fabric and lighting were your highpoint here. I think this photo would have come off a little better if the entire surface would have been in the focal plane.

The shallow DOF is somewhat distracting because I want to see how the light actually reacts with the texture of the fabric. I hope this makes sense. With the little blurring that there is, I cannot see how it reflects and plays off of the curves.

Nice work though. I would have given you 8 as is.

Let me be one to say that I didn't vote on your photo because I thought you colored the eyes in PS.

I have no clue if you did or not, but I didn't vote you at 10 because I didn't know. Sorry.

I would have gave you a 10, as this is an extraordinary photo.
