Privately Shyby robinssongComment: This is an absolutely wonderful B/W photo. I love the fact it is not the typical beautiful woman with flawless skin and it is not a really weathered face. You are somewhere in between which is a pleasant change. The composition is very nice and I like how the hair frames your face. You do look shy so the title is perfect. The focus on the one eye is a nice crisp focus. Probably should have the other eye/face in focus too but it is not distracting and does not take away from the photo. As for the lighting WOW! It really makes your hair stand out from the black background. Great job and I hope you do well. |

Sparky Arcby robinssongComment: Congratulations on your 11th place. I didn't get a chance to vote but I would have scored it high if I did. I love the blue fiber-optic light. Good idea to put them in a arch and then rotate the photo later. Gave it a great effect. |

Robins Songsby robinssongComment: Ilove the post processing you did hear. Feels ethereal. If I have that spelled right. Good use of thirds. |

Is There Anybody Out There?by Joey LawrenceComment: Colors are nice and focus is good. Nothing seems blown out. Nice DOF. The one eye looks like it has too much makeup compared to other which is a bit distracting. |

"Any Colour You Like"by robinssongComment: I just love the colors in this photo. At first I thought it needed to be crisper but after looking at it some more it is very crisp. Nice use of the rule of thirds with the little creature looking out from what I believe to be scarves. I like the background but I can't help but wonder what it would look like with a solid black or solid white background. Very creative idea and I hope it does well in the challenge. Very fine tribute to Pink Floyd. |

Gentle Guardianby robinssongComment: Like the expression on the dogs face. I know it took patience. The crisp focus on the eyes draws you in. Especially with the soft focus all around. Great portrait. |

Liberty Sadie Belleby ibkcComment: Great composition. Recommend moving the grass out of the way because it takes away from the great expression of the dog. |

Rugerby hideoutComment: Great B/W photo. Composition is good and the focus is crisp. It would be better if you hadn't cropped of the dogs head. Still a good photo. |

First Gay Pride Day March (1970)by lkn4truthComment: I didn't vote in this challenge but I did view quite a few images. I now wish I had. I could have given you the score this shot deserves. To be honest I am not a fan of nudes but if done tastefully I give them the score they well deserve. I love this shot 1) because it was B/W 2) focus and lighting is great 3) the composition perfect 4) very creative idea.
I would have given this a 10. |
