Great job. I really loved the foggy background and the clarity of the grains of sand. I also like the larger stones in contrast to the smaller pebbles of sand. I dislike the old shoe, but that doesn't take away from the overall beauty of this photo. I am raising my original vote on this one from a 5 to a 7 because it is above the norm, just not extremely interesting. However, thank you for meeting the challenge without leaving room to wonder how it fits the theme, like so many photos in this challenge have done.

Great job! I don't know where Alamere is, but this shot makes me want to find out! It's a gorgeous shot. The colors are phenomenal. The reflection in the water is also very nice! The ONLY thing that I don't like in this shot is the waterfall. It just seems to stick out like a sore thumb, a black box in the middle of the orange cliffs. But I am raising my original vote from 5 to 8, as this photo meets the challenge without leaving me to wonder how it fits the theme, and for the technical merit and overall beauty.

Great job! I love the brightness of the reflection of the surboard! The colors throughout this photo are very nice and I love the movement of the wave crashing behind her. I'm upping my original vote from 5 to 7 on this one, and thanks for meeting the challenge dead on without having to make me think about how it's fitting the theme.

Great job! This photo would have been a little better had you removed teh telephone polls in the distance. It is very nice, with great movement in the sky, great use of color, and for creating a feeling that comes with being outside alone at night. The other thing that distracts from the overall beauty of this photo isin the middle right side of this photo extending to the center, it's hard to tell what those black outlines are. They appear to be rocks or seaweed, but they just look kinda 'blobby'. I gave this a 5 for meeting the challenge without leaving me to have to guess about how it fits the theme.

A Night at Beach

Great job! I like night shots, and this one has alot going on in it. I love the reflection in the water of the lights, but also how the little floats on the roped area are highlighted. The sky has some clouds that are hinting at, and the sand in the foreground adds some interest. What knocks this that with the exception of the gazebo at the far right of this photo, the buildings do not have any definition to them because of the lights themselves. So part of what makes this interesting, also hurts the photo. I'm giving it a 5 for meeting the challenge without leaving me to guess about it, and for the elements of interest in this photo.

Tranquillity of Nature

Great job! The colors in the sky and how it's reflected in the water is very nice. Nice movement in the sky as well. The sand creates a feeling of expansiveness - of openness and solitude. Although there are hints that something has been there through the marks on the sand. The tree stands very nicely in this photo. Not quite as exciting as some of the other photos in this challenge, but I do appreciate you meeting the challenge without making me have to try to figure out if you met the theme or not.

Great job! Where is Priory Bay? I used to visit a place in Jamaica, and the town named was Priory, as well as the bay there. Even though I appreciate that you have met the challenge without leaving me to have to figure out how it fits the theme, it's not quite as exciting as many of the other pics on here.

A moment in time

Great job! I love shots of children. This one is executed perfectly. There is great clarity, and the background of the water, and foreground of the sand almost drift away and become non-existant when focusing on the little boy. He really stands out from his environment visually speaking. I'm raising my vote on this one from what I originally gave you, based on the fact that you met the challenge without leaving the voter to have to figure it out. This deserves a score for it's technical merit and overall beauty of the shot. Giving it an 8.

Little Girl in White Dress

Great job! Very quaint. (not to mention what an adorable little girl). I loved the subtleness of color in this one, or even lack of color. It works perfectly in this shot. There is great clarity in this, and action in the sand, the flow of the dress, in the sunlight that hits the ground and water, and in the water itself. Good job in meeting the challenge without leaving the voter to have to guess about how it fits the theme. Giving this an 8, going up from my original vote, as the lightness in tone of this one really gives me viewing pleasure.

Father and Son Moment

Great job! I loved the colors and silhoutte in this shot, and the overall feel of father/son relationships that you tried to create in this shot. That type of shot has a very traditional and conservative feel to them. So with that being said, I have to say that the man's HAIR (and beard) in this shot just feels WAAAAYYYY out of place in regard to traditional and conservative. It would have worked better in a skateboarding or surfing pic. Good job in meeting the challenge 100% though, leaving no room to have to figure it out.
