Great job! This is a gorgeous shot. The colors are out of this world, as is the setting. The sky is gorgeous, with just a hint of over-processing in the lower right and left portion of the clouds. The reflection off the water is gorgeous too, as is the movement in the water itself. Nice silhouttes.

However, a water shot, or even a shoreline shot, does not always mean 'beach' in my opinion. And meeting the challenge, to me, is the first and most important thing, if that isn't done, then anything else is unimportant. Doesn't mean it's not a beautiful and creative shot, because in this case, it absolutely is! I do love it! I went back and forth on how to score your pic, but I do vote low for those that I don't think meet the challenge, so to be consistant, I am voting this lower than I want for the reasons stated above. Although I did mark it as a favorite, sorry, I couldn't vote that way.

Great job! Nice colors in the water. I liked the movement of the waves as they break too. Unfortunately, the sky seems to be a bit noisy. Other than that, it looks like a Corona commercial. Very nice job keeping to the them of the challenge, which has been a bit of a challenge in and of it'self this go around. Raising my original score from a 4 to a 5.

Great job! The color in the sky is very nice, and the city rising from the haze is subtle but pretty. Unfortunately, there isn't alot else to make this photo interesting. Raising the original score that I gave you from a 4 to a 5.

Great job! I like the consistant tone of the sky and water/sand in this photo, only broken up by the pier with lights. The reflection is stunning, and the remnants of the ripples in the sand made by earlier waves is gorgeous! I'm raising the original score that I gave you, from a 4 to a 6, as it's above average, just based on the interest of the foreground alone. Nice job staying on theme.

Great job! A very pretty photo, with great technical merit, great perspective and use of color. I love the various levels descending down to the water. Each is interesting in it's own regard. Great job! A typical beach scene that doesn't generate alot of interest, although the colors and quality of this pic deserve merit. You did a great job staying with the theme, as many don't. It is a very pretty pic, just not something that is out of the ordinary. So my vote is average.

First, in the foreground is a couple One seems to be fairly in focus, and the other is blurred. I think this is a result of a mistake with post-processing. And secondly a water shot, or even a shoreline shot, does not always mean 'beach' in my opinion. And meeting the challenge, to me, is the first and most important thing, if that isn't done, then anything else is unimportant. Great job! A beautiful pic, with great color and movement in the sky and water. The mountain peering from behind the clouds and haze is gorgeous. I also liked the city on the distant shore that seems to be catching some beams of sunlight to light it up. I am a bit puzzled about the 'beach' aspect though. I do see a pile of logs that may be washed up on the beach, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. But so you know, my thoughts on the matter are that a water shot, or even a shoreline shot, does not always mean 'beach' in my opinion. Raising the original score I gave from a 4 to a 5, to reflect my 'benefit of the doubt'.
