A very nice shot, she seems very much at peace and at one with the nature around her. Unfortunately for ME, the viewer, the photo demands too much interest in this photo, from the girl, the sky, the lighting, the grass and weeds, the ground. There is just TOO much here to look at for it to really 'blend' and give me the feeling of it being a serene photo. Great photo, in other circumstances.

Although Zen would give the illusion that an Asian-inspired theme would be the ultimate example, for me, this is just too busy. It demands too much of my interest, wanting to view it from corner to corner. The leaves on the trees are very busy for my eye to focus on the overall serenity of this photo.

Although I like this photo and the concept, for me, the background letters and the foreground works against each other. I find that this causes me to want to look at each element individually, instead of as a whole. I guess just not enough simplicity, it makes me 'work' too much to see the whole interesting photo.

A pretty shot, but I think there is too much going on here that I don't get a sense of peace or serenity when I look at it. It begs me to discover each and every corner, because there is so much to offer. NOT a bad thing in another challenge, but in this one, it doesn't work well.
