- An Ocean of Harmony -by seebrownComment: A very pretty shot, but for another challenge, it would do much better. Just too much going on here, my eye is distracted by the bright opposing colors, and the business of the waves. Pretty colors, though, but they work against each other here. If the water had been a darker tone, and more 'quiet', maybe this would have worked better. Or maybe even in black and white, or a darker sky. Just something isn't screaming zen to me here. |

Cherish the Momentby DigitalVitaComment: A very pretty floral shot, great use of minimal color and lighting, and very soft tonal quality. However the pattern in the flower itself actually works against this, as there is just too much going on in the flower. It just draws my eye from the overall harmony of the photo as a whole, and forces me to LOOK at the subject, making it stand alone rather than blend and become harmonious with the background. |

The Artists Colonyby JulolidineComment: Although this atmosphere appears to be quiet at the moment, the photo overall has too much going on, so that my eye is drawn into all the minute details, rather than allowing me to feel a sense of peace and serenity when I look at it. |

Eyes of Nature's - Beautiful Disguiseby Faye PekasComment: I love the subtleness of the background color in this one. However, even with the soft tones here, the background is busy. That with the business of the pattern on the butterfly, it just doesn't allow me to feel any sense of harmony and blending. |

peacefulnessby vixenComment: Although I can sense some solitude here, I do not sense any zen, I think it's just a bit too busy to blend in and harmonize with any one element in this photo. Great job though! |

escarpment at twilightby hopperComment: Very pretty colors in this. I think though, that between the subject of the tree, the foreground green grass, and the multiple colors in the sky and background, it just is a bit overwhelming to the solitude and peace that you are trying to create. Maybe if this was in black and white? I think it is actually the beauty of the color that is distracting to the sense of zen. |

Ocean of tranquilityby justamistereComment: Yes, I can feel the tranquility of the ocean here. But I do not sense very much one-ness with the environment that I am looking at. Still, a pretty photo, fairly minimal, but just a little too much displayed movement, I think. |

Slight Breezeby bcobleComment: Although the scenery itself here is very lovely, I find all of the details to work against the overall serenity. The clouds, the mountains, the trees, even the chaffs of wheat themselves, all have too much interest individually to work in harmony together for this challenge. In another challenge, this would score much higher. |

Relaxationby jeroweComment: Although this dog is at rest, I do not feel the zen in this photo, as the subject matter itself is too busy, too many details that forces my eye to be drawn into all of the details rather than being at ease with the photo. |
