I find the splash of teal in the upper right of the frame distracting. It draws my eye away from the main subject, the flower and the ant.

I wish this had a bit more DOF so that the rest of the stem were sharp, but the rest of the background blurred asit is. I think that would allow the curvature of the stem to be much more positive compositionally.

In my opinion the empty space just gives the photo an isolated even peacefull feeling. I think if there were something in that empty space, it would feel cluttered, and you'd lose the effect of the angle of the boat drawing the viewer's eye to the center of the photo. The only thing I would say is that I wish the blues and greens were just a tiny bit more saturated. But it really is an absolutely wonderful photo.
