Wining by nightby pikwolComment: Beautiful ... meets challenge ... can almost see yourself in the reflection in glass and bottle. Nice reflection combined with the dark background. |

Will it stop soon?by B74AComment: Originally posted by puzzled: I really like the moodiness of this. If it were in a challenge, you might get comments about it being too dark, but I think it would lose the gloomy feel if it were lighter. This would probably also be great in b&w (but then it would need to be lighted a bit, most likely). Nice! |
Thank you for the comment - I actually have some B/W and sepia of this series already. The grainy feel is because of the rain. Had hoped it be more visible, instead it looks like bad focus or camera noise ...

Steady vs. Movingby B74AComment: Originally posted by puzzled: Good framing and empty space at the top. Wish that only one of them (either one, actually) were alone in the shot, but it's still quite interesting this way. Tells a story. She's on his way, while the guy is staying put for the day if not longer. |
I did that, so see

Push-Hands with Chair on Tableby B74AComment: This is a night shot, long exposure. The light is from a bright lamp shining over the entire pool area - with some warmth to the colours, it looks a bit more like day, but because of the light source, the shadow is very well-defined. The shadow of the person is me, trying to stand still for self timer plus 8 seconds. I was almost not let in, had to do it quickly, without a tripod, so had to improvise.
Idea might be good but quality of the shot is ... not worth more than 4.788 and 134/154, so it is fair enough for this effort. But I wanted to enter a challenge, and was too impatient to wait for the next one ...
feet no need for the critique club on this one!
Next one is running close to 6.0 (framing), whilst "Desolation" was another desparate attempt. Bokeh I haven't done yet but I have a rather good idea so hopes are high on that one!

Eye Of The Needleby charmayneComment: Nice one ... could you not have moved slightly, to have the needle centered? Challenge met, could be ribbon or at least top 10 ... |

Framed in sandstone by arpitaComment: Wow!
It could be discussed whether challenge is fulfilled:
Details: Capture an image where the foreground subject frames the rest of the image.
But it is some kind of framing in the foreground, enough for a nine from here. |

The Gate to Neverland by StructorComment: Where on Earth is this - really nice, and good framing. Was it really that hazy, or has the contrast been altered "to the worse" ? Having gone through all pics I rate this as ribbon or at least top 10 |
