Is this a pool, or the ocean?

shadow.jpgby TimComment: Shadow ... yes, it looks like it is close to Zenith - must be hot! Good way for a couple of "hot dogs" to cool off :-) |

dye ing sun (De Sol Ation)by B74AComment: Thank you all for the comments. After I submitted this one, I regretted, but it was after deadline, so I thought I'd ride it out - since I did not want DQ just for that.
This is the last time I will do a desparate attempt at a challenge, rather pass it than just throw something in to see what happens.
Focus was rathere good in the original, don't know what happened in the PP, but there are no real desolated areas around here, except junkyards maybe!

To Fly Again?by PrismComment: Very nice, yes.
If you ever wanted to redo the PP, make the blur from the exhaust go straight back. On your edit, it deflects downwards in an unnatural way. I am not from Canada, but I suppose this is an aircraft not flying any more in RCAF? Have a peek at what it looks like, for instance on //www.airliners.net ...

I believe she is the one with the red tail. I wonder if it is red all the time, or only when she is in "that" mood ... |

Thinking Outside of the Boxby B74AComment: Thank you all for your votes, and constructive criticism.
The frame is about 3 foot away, whilst the object is half a mile or so, so this is as sharp as I could make the frame. I was in doubt as to whether something round (loops in the fence of the Bund in Shanghai) could be a frame (since it is round, not square), but after having seen all the other entries, I feel this is an OK frame :-)
A personal high for me, since the shadow one was desparate, just as desolation II is, but Bokeh II will beat this one by a small margin!

Nightlightsby bryanbrazilComment: Third of this type I meet here, still nice. Let me guess again on exposure time - 3 to 5 minutes? Look forward to exposure details. |
