Today like in the old timesby GotchyaComment: The choice of sepia goes well with the subject, suggesting a bygone age. The slant works well, and in this case, at least to me, makes it a recognisable San Francisco (or I hope!) The small hints of cloud also add some depth, although I'm not sure about the tree tops on the left. |

14th Street - Union Squareby christoComment: I think b&w was a great choice for the image. This way the probably mash of colors was eliminated to concentrate on the duality of paces depicted - the rush of the busy commuter and the stillness of the train and those within, still waiting to reach their destination. The reverse motion of having the pedestrians (as it were) moving and the transportation motionless is quite interesting. A stimulating image! |

The extravagance of yesterday's commercial waterwaysby jjbeguinComment: The perspective is great, and the tone compliments the slow-paced transportation nicely. The only real negative thing is the driftwood, trash or whatever it is beside the pillar in the lower left - it's a little distracting. A higher crop would have eliminated that, but would also take away from the great perspective depth of the bridge. Sometimes you just have to work with what you got. Wonderful image either way! |

The Wright Stuff-2003by sagestudioComment: I admit to having a soft spot for b&w/sepia toned photographs, but coupled with the old plane makes this really shine. The broody clouds also add a nice dramatic effect. I like the motion on the tail too. |

Blues and Twosby agwrightComment: I love how the ambulance is isolated from the background and is very crisp and sharp. The motion blurred background does an excellent job of representing fast motion. The choice of subject, an ambulance instead of a car/truck etc really adds to the feeling of urgency. Excellent shot! |

Wake Up Callby TerryGeeComment: The washed out part of the background almost looks like it is coming out of his opened beak. There is some noise in the background, and the red on his face seems a little strange, but that could just be the texture - I'll admit I've never been this close to one to see. |

Natures Refereeby TarbiniComment: Great colors and good composition. The contrast is amazing and the effect dramatic. I could definitely see hanging this as a print. |

Proud Mamaby cpanaiotiComment: The composition is good, but it's just a shame that the image is so small. Had this image been bigger and the details more clear it would have been much better. |
