Art is about reaction and from the voting histogram you got reactions from all ends of the spectrum.

You got hammered pretty hard on the low-end, but only one person would comment on technical merit (which I disagree with).

Now, I do wonder what the photo would have looked like if you had raised the dildo off the glass and kept only a reflection of it in the glass slightly out of focus. Compositionally, I think it would have been stronger, but at the same time would lose some of the in your face punch.

As far as the "wash it" comments, I'm assuming that that translucent dildo has sparkles in it. I'm not sure how to make that more apparent without blowing highlights everywhere.
