Caught this seagull flying around the lake when I was waiting for the eclipse. I actually cloned out 3 or 4 geese that were in the background. Channel Mixer to desaturate, Levels, quick mask to select seagull and brighten separately, usm, border. I think that's the Spatter Frame action plus a canvas extension.

So, at first, I assumed you rotated to make it different. Then I realized, no, she shot it laying down. Right off the bat you've got me guessing what your up to. I don't think of that as boring. Very nice white on white effect.

This is one of the best compositions I've seen in this side challenge. Foreground to background has interest, rule of thirds, pleasing to the eye, tells a story, very strong painterly feel, wonderful color, texture and tonality. Can't improve on it. Thanks for sharing it, Ken. Methinks you've found your brain.

This is a great shot, Sean. It is the quintessential crowing cock in all his glory. I've already looked at your reprocessed shot, and think you did a good job bringing out the colors. One more suggestion would be to use selective color to select the sky/ocean background and darken it a bit separately.

It is, indeed, a beautiful place, and even though I'm not familiar with the quote in the title, I have to agree. Great place to spend eternity. Love how the land sweeps down to meet the ocean, and the colors are so vivid. Great shot, Greg.

Well hello, Maurice! What a beautiful dog face you have. So sharp and clear, and I don't mind the shadow at all. That flooring creates a great background for this shot.
