Photo Lifeby blaneComment: Awsome shot. You really get a good idea of just how big those bergs are and I love the cool colors. Good job. |

National Geographic-Wolves in Captivityby sagestudioComment: I like the wolve's pose and the border is perfect, but I think you should not have used such a narrow DOF as I believe the picture would have been more effective with the background fence in focus, given your title. In addition, I find the branches at the top of the photo to be distracting, and wish the wolf was not half in sun and half out. |

Playboatingby vjozComment: This is a really great action shot! I love the angle of the boater and his expression and how the image shows the difficulty with this sport and it's dangers. Despite it's format, I can see this on the cover of a mag. There are a just a few points I'd like to make that could be improved on. First, the letters on the paddle are distracting, and certainly after the challenge, this could be spot edited out. Secondly, I would have liked to have seen a bit more detail in the man's face. My first impression of your border was that I didn't like it, but the more I look at it, the better it sits with me. Overall, well done! |

National Geographicby pncowleyComment: Excellent! This captures the challenge perfectly to me, in a very classic and traditional way. The only thing I think it lacks is a human presence. |

Rural Australiaby Girl from OZComment: The sky and lighting of this early/late day shot is evocative and even eerie, but the forground is too dark to complete my appreciation of this very interesting image. With such a prominent subject (the fireplace) I feel that it's not about rural Austrailia, but rather about the lack of a house attatched to that fireplace, and what that represents. IMHO, I think this shot would fit more a surrealistic challenge. 7 because I really do like this shot despite it's technical flaw. |

Accommodation Guideby AndymationComment: I"m assuming that this is a trade magazine for the hotel/motel industry? I can certainly see this on the cover if it's referring to building a structure because the foreground gives me the impression that it's in the process of being built. |

Country Magazineby GolferDDSComment: I realize the challenge limitations, but think that this format does not do the image justice. It just feels too constrained by the verticle to be satisfying. |

Oil Giantby renzoComment: I love the colors here and it's so abstract that I can't really tell what it is. Also, I'm wondering if there is some hidden political message in it's title. Very well done. |
