A+ for effort...You must have gotten a lot of exercise just climbing up the tree to get this shot. I wish the bird didn't get lost behind the leaves and branches. It also blends in with the grey color of the tree too much, so it's really hard to see him/her.

Lovely composition and beautiful colors. This picture has a painterly quality to it. Hard to tell if the palm trees and buildings are out of focus or a PS filter was applied. Doesn't matter, I find this image exceptional, however you achieved it.

Hahahaha...one of the few kid pictures I like...very cute. Maybe you should have titled it Monster from the Blue Lagoon. I think you lost a little too much detail in the trees and scene in the background, though.

Despite not liking your title or that you seemed to have used flash, I really like the pastel colors of your background and the DOF you've managed to capture here. The plant in the lower right with it's wisps of flowering is also a nice bonus, but I think the left side of the picture is lacking in subject matter and I wish you were able to balance out the two sides with some more of these flowering plants. The spots of glare are also very distracting and mar this beautiful shot and decrease the good focus you've acheived on your subject's face.

Nice wide angle shot with beautiful color and I like the aeriel perspective in the upper left background. Focus is a bit soft though and I think it could use some more contrast, but on the whole I like it.

Good focus and exposure, but compositionally, I would have preferred to see not such a centered subject, and more of the steps leading up to the gazebo.

Dwarf Sunflower

Except for the black line running horizontally in the background, I like the composition alot. The flower really stands out against the white background and I like it's position as well. What spoils this shot for me is the very soft focus.

Great shot and very cute and funny. The only improvement I would have liked to have seen would have been less shadow on the doggies face and eyes to highlight it's expression. Well done.

You Guessed It

I really like the noise and lighting in this shot, as well as, the soft focus and compositioin. Simple, but very effective abstract. I like the pastel effect of the background and the way the color graduates between a bluish purple on bottom and reddish orange on top. I find this to be a very artsy picture. However, I don't believe that a play on words here meets the challenge requirements, and I also think a border would have been appropriate.
