WOW Great clarity! I only wish the background was a bit more smooth. The bright spot in the center top is a bit distracting.

I did just about the same thing with a Thistle plant for my image. I like the way you caught a couple about to escape the others. I ran out of patience (and lunch time) to catch that with my thistle plant. The only nit pick is that I would like to see a bit sharper focus on the milkweed and less distracting background. The bright green on the far left and the transition from bright green to brown in the middle are troublesome.

At first I was gonna knock this, but I like the interpretation of the seed concept here! Very nice image. I would prefer a bit longer DOF. the trees in the intermediate area are a bit out of focus (or just soft...)

Undoubtably seedy, but compositionally lacking. I would have either backed out to show the whole plate or cropped tighter to the food and had just the curve of the plate on the edge of the image (with a 6x4 ratio). Nice clarity and contrasting colors.
