Holding On.... by buzzrockComment: What a stunning image. The solid white background is perfect. The red twigs, green leaves are a wonderful photographic setting for the grasshopper. Cropping and composition is just right.
Textbook perfect.

Real Metal Headsby Everyday ReneeComment: Another great macro shot in a challenge with so many great images to choose from. Perfect focus. Visually perfect.
We will probably see this one on the cover of "Insect Karma Sutra" |

Our tiny little gardenby samtimesComment: This is a very nice still life. Good technical quality and clarity.
Color in this image is what makes it special. Orangish red background combined with the rusty red highlights on the plants is like candy for the eyes. |

Helophilus pendulusby UberFishComment: Beautiful capture. The soft, light green background really sets this image apart from others. Good angle and capture of your subject. |

Spiderby daztazComment: You captured the spider with a nice forward closeup of a subject hard to capture in macro because of their gangly legs. One of the best this week. |

The Pollinator by pnichollsComment: Great color, composition and framing. The all yellow background serves to highlight the subject. A technically perfect effort in one of the most competitive challenges ever. |

Makin' Tracksby kavamamaComment: The composition and framing of this image is very good. The flower adds color and having the snail inching its way towards it is great. The bluish color of the pavement adds interest.
You may have left the flower out of focus to make sure that the snail it was not the center of attention to meet the challenge. I probably would have shot with greater DOF to try and put it in focus anyway and maybe try a slightly different angle to emphasize the "snail after the flower" concept.
