Although this is not soft focused in any way it is a superb sunset picture. The way you have captured the sun surrounded by birds is stunning. Also getting the lighting on the sun correct while maintaining lighting and detail on the birds is commendable.

The only flaw is that the ocean is not level and fixing that, unfortunately, would screw up the framing of the birds at the edge of the image.

There are not enough superlatives to adequately describe this image. This is true \"soft focus\". Most, like mine, are not. I suspect many folks do not know what soft focus is.

But beyond that... Lighting is perfect. Use of the ROT is perfect. DOF is perfect. Title is perfect. In short... perfect.

An excellent choice for this challenge. If you could have used a soft focus filter on this one it would have been even better. It would have been better that electronic soft focus filtering could not be applied for this challenge.

I admit, a gun is not the first thing I think of for a "soft focus" challenge. :) I don't think it is soft focused either, but it is a super shot and should score well. Those pesky "purists" might disagree. Dang them!
