Wake Up, Sleepy Headby libertyComment: Oh... how sweet :) I would try and focus on its eyes, despite the fact they are still half asleep ;) Looks like you focused on top of its head. Lovely colours, nice detail. Sweet creature. Very good attempt. |

Freedom by the Window lightby WillSnapsComment: Wow, almost minimalistic. Just the background... It's quite busy driving attention from the main subject. Maybe different perspective would help? Nevertheless great idea. |

Brick Houseby stupidcatComment: The house looks very intersesting. The walls are full of dappled light. However, it is barely visible. I would try and crop the upper 1/3 of the picture which is not very attractive and doesn't add to the picture IMHO. It would bring the house more. Also changing perspective a bit to the right would show more of the interesting texture of the walls. Great location, crisp colours, nice dappled light. |

Path above Vernal Fallsby hopelessoptimistComment: I have to look carefuly to find the path. Maybe making the stone steps a leading line and mre in the center of composition would make the subject more prominent. You could try to move a bit to the right. |

My Grecian Beautyby RooDysignComment: She is beautiful model. Somehow I think the focus is on her brests. I would try to focus more on her eyes, as it is always essential in portraits. Lovely warm evening light. Good perspective, nice composition. |

Green and blue.by ullageComment: The shallow DOF makes me think "Where is the blue?" Forget-me-nots are lovely flowers, I would keep them in focus to add interest to the picture. Lovely greens, good composition, good quality. |

Dappled Light Patternsby sherpetComment: Nice pattern. There are visible blown ups on the leaes, probably due to harsh lighting. Evening light would make the leaves colour more vibrant. God eye on detail, fill the frame is a good choice for this. |

Summer brings the Musicby ClansmanComment: Very nice idea but the visible blur will take away few points for sure. The negative space is interesting composition for this picture, but the background is too busy and uninteresting. It distracts from the guitar (?) neck. I would try maybe different perspective and use tripod for this kind of shot. |

stumbleby shenanigansComment: You probably tried to focus on her injury to make the message more clear. However I think, it is clear enough, instead with people portraits it is always better to focus on their eyes. The idea is very good, picture tells a story, wakes up emotions (the first thought is "poor girl"). I would just try to focus on her eyes, instead of knee. |

Light of my lifeby cogeroxComment: Nice portrait. I guess dappled light is difficult to shoot portraits in. Very nice details of her face. The smile wrinkles are clearly visible, making the model look interesting and so natural. She looks like a lovely lady. I would only ask her to move the hair on her right a bit behind, as she's got unpleasant shadow around her eye (I know - it's a dapple ;)). The big blue spot on her right is driving my attention from her shining eyes. |
