 This was an interesting assignment, and due to health reasons was unable to go out anywhere to take images for this challenge.

This left me with one of my favorite place to take photos. Our very own tropical rain forest garden. For three days I went and sat in my garden to find filtered dappled light on the fronds or leaves of the trees, palms and plants.

After many images I had quite a few that I liked. I had some great dappled light on some of my agaves, which formed light and shade patterns on their sculptured leaves. I also took some interesting dappled light on the fern and palm fronds.

My favorite is the one I have chosen for this challenge.

I have called it "Dappled Light", as I love the light patterns on the fronds of the palm, with the blue sky in the background.

I really like all the criss-cross lines and patterns. There are very pretty peeks of blue sneaking in and that makes you want to look deeper into the picture. Very nice.

Interesting concept that meets the challenge. The bottom right corner is a bit distracting. Perhaps a different crop.

Nice pattern. There are visible blown ups on the leaes, probably due to harsh lighting. Evening light would make the leaves colour more vibrant. God eye on detail, fill the frame is a good choice for this.

The highlights and shadows od the dappled light and the lines of the leaves made lots on patterns acorss the photograph.
