Great concept. I think you could have improved it by yourself moving a bit to the left so the old lady's head is not exactly in front of the corner, and have her turn slightly towards the frame. As it is, I'm lead to the right, and there are just a few cut off roses that don't really add to the composition.

I find the net lace somewhat distracting, a bit too bright relative to her face. I think her somewhat angry mood would come across better without the draped fabric.

Mysterious. I guess the leaning to the darker side and the lack of contrast was intended, just not sure if it is a bit too much, though.

Not so sure about the pose - her knee is as big as her face and as the knee is close and the face far the knee seems to get more attention from me than it deserves.
The lighting of the face is very nice.
