I agree with you (and I had other people say the same) - it needs more dark tones. I took three different exposures (I think I used +-2 but would have to check). The darks were certainly captured, the problem is an edit issue. Maybe I'll post a 3rd version of this... or just chalk up some experience and know better next time.
