After the Winter Stormby hahn23Comment: This has the composition of an Ansel Adam's shot, but not the editing. He makes the sky nearly black, and would have much more contrast in the mountains. I think you have the winning shot here, but only if you had edited it more in Ansel's style. Beautiful shot! Take care,

Reach for the Stars by jasonlpriceComment: I have three boys and my youngest broke his leg earlier this year. I hated seeing him in pain, and I can't imagine having a child going through it multiple times. I will add Andrew to our prayer list and I wish him and your family well...

Hardened by Life by SpizzerComment: Was this in Colorado Springs? I had a guy that looks like this come to my door and ask if I needed any concrete work done (driveway, sidewalks, etc). I will never forget his amazing eyes, and this guy really looks like him!

I hate to disappoint you, but the leaves were photographed against a green grass background. The background and reflection are Photoshop work... I'm glad you like the final product, though!

OTOHby Rob OComment: I thought this was one of the more creative shots in the challenge. I gave it a nine and I'm surprised it didn't do better in the voting. This is an image you can be proud of, though.
