Thanks so much for the comments. I edited this image BEFORE I calibrated my monitor. Now I can see how bad it looks and realize why I didn't score higher. Quite frankly now all my pictures look crappy with a calibrated monitor. Oh well, I guess you live and you learn. For converting to B&W I think I am going to try this technique next time:
