The reason I like this photo is for the mood that it envokes. It feels like it could be part of a scene from a movie about gods and goddesses and ancient heros and talking dragons.

I like this instance of framing a lot but I feel that there is a bit much to take in, with the foreground and background competing for my attention. I would have prefered to have the edges of the square of the metal to be parallel with the crop of the picture, because the slanted lines are one more thing for my attention to be drawn to. However, the colors are good and I like the composition (where the monument is relative to the metal figures). Very interesting choice of subject and although busy, I do like this photo.

I like your setup - it is interesting seeing how you did it, as it looks quite realistic, especially the "texture" on the bricks. One thing that confused me was the smaller one sitting on top of the larger one - is that supposed to be a person and their child? In any case, I'm sure that's just me and I didn't vote down for that. Also another thing that might be interesting (not better really, just interesting) to see is how it would look if the darker leg was towards the foreground (which, since it was already burnt, would involve flipping the whole thing around).

I really liked the cuteness and the wide style (even though it is harder to see details, not many entries are formatted like this, and I liked the uniqueness). One thing I might change is how the wheels on the bottom are not noticable on all - I don't know if that involves better lighting or would need a crop on the bottom, but I would be interested to see how it looks with more consistancy across all the figures. The title and the figure on the right work very nicely together and overall I liked this photo!

I agree with the previous comment about the crop - either that, or just under the Y with a bit looser to the right. I like the positions of the dice on the board and relative to each other and the hotels/houses/motels/cities/plastic things. I also like how the plastic housey things are placed on the board - they are in the correct places but not 100% perfectly set. It makes me feel like somebody is actually playing a game, and not that this was a set-up shot, and I like that feeling of reality.

I voted this an 8. I thought the shot was good, not outstanding in a technical sense, but it gave me the sense of being in another place and time, and as my emotions were being stirred the focus did not matter to me.

I wish this had scored higher. You should put it on DPCPrints and make postcards of it or something.... it really is beautiful.

Even though the flat blue surface is not dynamic - I think you did a good job of having an even colored background. This is something I have struggled with a lot.
