The dawn of manby WindtaleComment: Good to see a male nude photo once in a while. I love the composition and the muted colors as well as the gradient in the sky/background. |

In The Beginningby JustinMComment: I don't like it when staged photos look cheezy because you can tell they're staged, and the staging doesn't seem to have a point, visually. This one is not cheezy looking. |

Ratheadby unknowndeathComment: I did not give this a high score because of multiple things. I think that the background is distracting. The composition does not draw my eye towards the subject. The way that the background and the fur look makes the image seem a bit pixelated, so a different choice of background would have helped for that reason as well. Basically with the subject matter being what it is, it needs a good artistic treatment to be visually appealing as a photo.
edit: I want to add that when I first commented on this picture I assumed it to be something you found and did not want to "rearrange" for photography purposes. So I said about different choice of background but I should also have added a couple other ideas. one might be to take a picture much closer, assuming you can get good macro shots out of your camera. so that there is less background - maybe even only a part of the mouse/rat as well. Another thing you could have done is put your camera on the ground and shot towards the animal. Depending on what surrounded you, you might have been ab le to get a nice, more solid background, maybe even some bokeh (see previous bokeh challenges). |

How's it hanging?by NefirComment: I think photos depicting suicide are fine in a death challenge but I personally would prefer it not seemingly treated lightly (with a title that seems as though it makes light of suicide). I am sorry if you did not mean it this way - I am certainly not accusing you of trying to treat the subject lightly at all. I do not know your motivations and don't pretend to know. I am just telling you how it seems to me. |

Dead Catby NimilComment: I did not give this a high score and I want to explain why. I find that the background is not good - the lines just cut through visually what I want to focus on. The image quality seems a bit pixelated and the subject does not seem in focus as much as I feel it should be. Basically with the subject matter being what it is, it needs a good artistic treatment to be visually appealing as a photo and I do not find that here. |

License To Killby muur88Comment: Wow. I never would have thought I'd give such a high score to a pun. :-) |

Diamonds Are Foreverby JudiComment: Isn't "DPC friendly" so I don't think this'll get the score that I feel it deserves. This is a very beautiful shot with a wonderfully creative vintage feel. |
